We have always loved Lanzarote and that is why we purchased our 3 bedroom villa, which was completed at the end of 2005. Villa Las Palmeras is situated on the Avenida de Las Palmeras, this coupled with the palm trees we see from the terrace, are the reasons for our choice of name.
We chose our villa for two reasons: Firstly, at least half of the residents on the complex are Spanish and this enables us to be part of the Lanzarote community and embrace the Spanish culture. Secondly, for the location, as it is close enough to walk to any of the lovely beaches and to enjoy the tourist area of Costa Teguise, without being in the middle of it all.
Our villa is not just a holiday residence, it is a spacious home. It is very comfortably furnished in a modern Spanish style and has more than everything you would need for a holiday.
Villa Las Palmeras is on the El Palmeral Complex which benefits from stunning views of the sea to the front and the mountains to the rear. This is a gated community with apartments, duplexes and a small number of elevated, link detached, frontline villas with Las Palmeras being the first on the right, facing the sea.
At the front of the villa there is parking space for three cars, a raised landscaped area and through the gate, a small garden. The front door opens into a large hall which leads to all of the rooms.
The lounge, kitchen and master bedroom all open onto the large terrace, which overlooks Costa Teguise to the left, Arrecife to the right and the sea infront. The terrace benefits from all day sun. There are sunloungers and the all important table and chairs for alfresco dining as well as the BBQ!
The lounge is bright and airy with large doors opening onto the terrace. It has two comfortable sofas, a dining table for six, and large sideboard for storage. There is a TV and DVD player as well as a radio/CD player.
The kitchen is beautifully finished and fully equipped with built-in oven, ceramic hob, extractor fan and washing machine. There is also a fridge freezer, kettle, microwave, sandwich maker and toaster as well as all crockery, cutlery, glassware and kitchen utensils required for your holiday. There is a separate utility room inside the kitchen and the patio doors open onto the terrace where there is an outdoor covered 'solana' area which is used for drying washing and storage.
The master bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, has ample storage space in the large fitted wardrobes which are within a dressing area. The queen sized bed faces the patio doors which open onto the terrace, giving you a view of the sea and palm trees.
The two twin bedrooms, one of which has large fitted wardrobes, are at the front of the house and overlook the raised garden area. We have shutters on these windows to allow the windows to be left open when the weather is at its hottest, at the same time as providing security.
The second, full sized bathroom, is between the two twin bedrooms. Both bathrooms have a sink, w.c., bath with shower and a bidet. There is also a further separate toilet and washbasin off the main hall.
The complex is beautifully landscaped with seated areas throughout. In the centre of there is the main swimming pool and a childrens pool. There is also a play area for smaller children, a full sized tennis court and one smaller court which is designed for the Spanish game, 'paddle'. Close to the main pool there is an open sided, covered area where residents currently sit when the sun is at its hottest. There are two smaller pools to the rear of the complex, in front of the apartments.
Whether you are wanting to stay in Lanzarote for a relaxing or a busy holiday, we are sure you will enjoy Villa Las Palmeras as much as we do!
